Our responsible approach
At De Fil en Forme, we favour local and thoughtful manufacturing.
All our items are 3D printed in Gatineau, in small batches or on demand, in order to limit waste and produce only what is needed.
We use PLA (polylactic acid), a plant-based material derived from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugarcane. This material is known for its stability, durability, and precision, making it perfectly suited for creating decorative and functional objects.
PLA is designed to be compostable under industrial composting conditions, and its production generates fewer greenhouse gas emissions than conventional materials. Its renewable origin makes it a consistent choice with our commitment to reducing our environmental impact.
Each piece of De Fil en Forme is carefully crafted, in a responsible approach that values design, sustainability and local expertise.
